100th Post Giveaway!

Well, this is my 100th post. It seems kind of crazy. 100 paleo posts! In honor of this milestone I'm doing a giveaway! Apparently that is the cool thing to do in the blog world. As a thank you to everyone who reads, comments, does not comment or has supported me through my transition to a cave-girl lifestyle, I've got something for you!

I love Mark's Daily Apple. He is publishing The Primal Blueprint Cookbook in Mid-May. I've been pretty excited about this for quite a bit of time. Not only am I going to get one for me, but I am going to be sending one of these fabulous cookbooks to one of YOU!

The cookbook has over 100 recipes that are paleo friendly, gluten free, low carb....everything a paleo loving person could want!

Here is what you need to do:
  • Post a comment on this blog post
  • In your comment tell me what your favorite paleo snack or meal is OR something that you now love that you didn't know you loved before changing your diet!
  • Make sure to leave your first name and email address in the comment in case you are not registered on blogger and it comes up as "anonymous" when you post.
  • This is open to EVERYONE.
One entry per person. I don't care if you have never commented before, join in! You will have until 11:59PM on Sunday, May 2nd. The winner will be picked at random. If I know you or don't know you won't matter one bit. If you are the winner I will contact you by email and get your mailing information and your Primal Blueprint Cookbook will be shipped directly to you courtesy of me!

Thanks to everyone for joining in on my paleotlithic adventure!

  2. The one thing I have a new found love for are brussels sprouts. I seriously can eat them any time of the day. The best is to coat them in spices and broil them in the convection oven until they are burnt on the outside. Makes for a nice crunchy snack.

  3. Cool idea Ginny! I guess if I had a favorite paleo snack it would be beef jerky - but I doubt the kind I make would be considered paleo, since I use soy sauce (is that too much salt?). Anyway, don't enter me in your contest - I just wanted to say "hey". ;)

  4. Ginny, I love your Blog..I read it everyday. Your writing skills are fantastic! So interesting!!! I love the Baked Apples..I have made them several times for friends..who none have heard of Paleo..but they all loved them. Instead of baking whole, I cut them up..makes easier to serve and eat. I have been on the Paleo now for over 4 weeks...and have only cheated ONCE..(had to have a couple of glasses of wine!)...but it is not as hard as I thought it would be. I feel really good too....lost 7# so far.. (I too love the Larabars!)

  6. My favorite paleo meal would have to be anything made on the grill. Last night I made burgers topped with avocado, grilled onions, and salsa. Yum! Also, anything with almond butter...chicken, eggs, fruit, anything!

  7. My favorite paleo snack is Paleo Pecan Pie. I have to refrain from making it more than once a week. It is so delicious!

My most common snack is 1/2 apple, 1 hard boiled egg and 3 almonds. Boring, but it gets the job done!

  8. My favorite paleo meal is grilled chicken, portabella mushrooms, asparagus, roasted red bell peppers, avacado, & walnuts over lettuce w/ lemon & olive oil :)

I am not much of a meat eater but have learned to love pork tenderloin. A girl can only eat so much chicken.

    Thanks for sharing Ginny, Paige

  11. Hmm, favorite Paleo Snack is definitely my own special mix of cashews and dried cranberries. Talk about addiction! It is definitely bad. I also have to say my favorite paleo meal has been the Paleo Tikka Masala with Cauliflower Rice we made once...YUMMY!
